You might be looking for frigidaire retro mini personal fridge alternatives if the standard 9L model does not fit your specific needs. The original Frigidaire cooler holds 12 cans and uses a thermoelectric system to chill items 26-28°F below ambient temperature. It weighs 6 pounds and connects to both 12V car outlets and home power. This versatility makes it a strong choice for car trips or office desks.
However, you may need a smaller footprint or a different feature set. Some users prefer units under 5 pounds for easier transport. Others prioritize skincare storage or quiet operation over beverage capacity. The alternatives in this list were chosen because their specifications overlap with the original product. We compared their dimensions, weight, can capacity, and power options to find models that serve similar roles. Each pick here shares key traits with the Frigidaire 9L Retro Mini Cooler while offering distinct advantages for different use cases.
Our top pick: Frigidaire 9L 12-Can Retro Mini Cooler.
How these alternatives compare to the original
Cooluli 4L Portable Mini Fridge
The Cooluli 4L Portable Mini Fridge shrinks the footprint significantly compared to the Frigidaire 9L model. It weighs just 4 pounds and measures 10.2 inches wide, making it easier to carry or store in tight spaces. You give up capacity, holding only 6 cans versus 12, and it lacks the retro aesthetic. However, its compact size and dual temperature modes make it ideal for skincare storage or office desks where space is at a premium. If you prioritize portability and specialized cooling over beverage volume, this smaller unit is a practical swap for the larger Frigidaire.
CROWNFUL 4-Liter Cooler and Warmer Mini Fridge
The CROWNFUL 4-Liter Cooler and Warmer Mini Fridge is even more compact than the Frigidaire 9L, weighing only 4.79 pounds. It holds 6 cans, offering less storage but greater flexibility with heating functions. The unit is designed for quiet operation, which suits users who need silence in bedrooms or offices. You lose the retro design and the ability to hold a full 12-can load, but gain a versatile warmer function. This model is best for skincare enthusiasts or travelers who want a small, quiet appliance that can both chill and warm items, rather than just cooling beverages.
Frigidaire 6-Can Retro Portable Mini Fridge
The Frigidaire 6-Can Retro Portable Mini Fridge keeps the brand's retro look but reduces capacity to 6 cans. It weighs only 3 pounds, making it lighter and more portable than the 6-pound 9L model. The dimensions are smaller, fitting easily into tight car spaces or small dorm desks. You sacrifice storage volume and the larger 9L interior, but gain a more affordable and compact option. This model is ideal for singles or students who need basic beverage cooling without the bulk of the larger version, maintaining the aesthetic appeal while reducing size and weight.
Antarctic Star 4L Mini Fridge with Mirror
The Frigidaire Retro 6L 9-Can Portable Mini Fridge offers a middle ground between the 4L and 9L models. It holds 9 cans, which is more than the 4L alternatives but less than the original 12-can unit. It weighs 3 pounds, significantly lighter than the 6-pound original. The design remains portable and suitable for car use or dorms. You give up the maximum 12-can capacity but gain a lighter, more compact unit that still holds a decent amount of beverages. This is a good choice if you want the Frigidaire style and reliability but need something smaller and easier to transport than the 9L version.
Frigidaire Retro 6L 9-Can Portable Mini Fridge
The Frigidaire Retro 6L 9-Can Portable Mini Fridge provides a balance between size and capacity. It holds 9 cans, which is less than the original 12-can model but more than the 4L alternatives. Weighing 3 pounds, it is much lighter and easier to carry than the 6-pound original. The dimensions are compact, making it suitable for small desks or car cup holders. You sacrifice some storage space for increased portability and reduced weight. This model is best for users who want the Frigidaire brand and retro design but need a smaller, lighter unit for frequent travel or limited storage spaces.
Lispin 4L Skincare Fridge with Mirror
The Lispin 4L Skincare Fridge with Mirror is a specialized unit for beauty enthusiasts, unlike the beverage-focused Frigidaire 9L. It features an integrated LED mirror light, which is unique among these options. It holds 4 liters, similar to other 4L models, and is designed for skincare storage rather than drink cooling. You lose the ability to hold 12 cans and the retro car-compatible design, but gain specialized lighting and a mirror. This model is ideal for users who prioritize cosmetic storage and convenience over beverage cooling, offering a dedicated solution for skincare routines in dorms or bedrooms.
